The U.S. Government has launched a new website, AIDS.gov, designed to link users to federal domestic HIV/AIDS information and resources. The goal is to ease access to information on federal HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, treatment, and research programs, policies, and resources. It provides comprehensive government-wide information on HIV/AIDS for the general public, federal agencies, state staff/public health departments, Federal grantees, medical institutions, research institutions, and HIV/AIDS-related organizations.
